Archway Gallery: some suggested buys
Archway Gallery has been around since 1976 and is artist-operated. There are over 30 members and I consider it one of the best places to buy art in Houston. With the number of member artists they have, there’s always something on every point of my preference scale – from 1 to 10. Here are some of my favorites they have now.
Jim Adams, known for rescuing metal parts from being melted down, has this large, heavy piece with the tongue-in-cheek name of “Weightless”.
Veronica Dyer challenges my general dis-like of abstracts. She’s one of five abstract artists I will mention to friends.
Paula J. Haymond is meticulous on tooling her carved, wood surfaces. It looks SO much better in person.
Gene Hester has this series of glass plates that, at $200 each, will make for some great gift giving!
Though, Dapoxetine and Sildenafil is fascinating ingredient but sometime augments threat of side effects too. brand cialis 20mg Make sure you use this medicine get cialis cheap top website after speaking to your doctor. As a final note, do your research before you buy cheapest viagra in australia the medication from either land based or online pharmacies. These are also the care buy levitra canada for male reproductive health. Anita Nelson’s whimsy is evident in these playful compositions.
John Slaby’s technique is fantastic. A while back, he decided to maybe show off and incorporate what looks like tape into his compositions. It’s fun seeing people try to touch them in person thinking they’re real.
Cecilia Villanueva is a new name for me. The two pieces on display are absolutely fantastic. Which is doubly so since they’re just trees! But trees done in a new way! Again, MUCH better to see in person and very worth their $850 asking price.
