Patrick Palmer
Patrick Palmer is a well-known name in a lot of circles of the Houston art scene. Palmer’s hallmarks are 1) high quality paintings, 2) passionate educator and 3) community involvement. This is an unusual mix in that many artists with highly developed technique are not apt to “share their tricks” and many artists simply don’t engage art outside their own studio/workspace. Palmer kicks those shortcomings to the curb!
For 20 years, he has created a new body of work every 6 months. Each point of completion is marked with a studio opening event. With a target of 60 paintings per event, you see that “prolific” is another hallmark of Palmer’s. During this time, he has not sought gallery representation opting to simply represent himself.
Now for the math: quality work + lifetime experience + self-representation = great buy opportunity
